sorting table data in sap.m.Table

Hi experts,

I am using sap.m.Table in my sapui5 application and displaying some data inside the table. One of the column has date information i.e. something of the format of "29-Dec-2015".

I need to sort the table data based on date information. Please help me in achieving the same as date is different format specified and not "MM-DD-YYYY" or "DD-MM-YYYY".
